鼠年首個交易日以黑盤收市，恆指報22616.11，跌853.35，成交只有764億元。

早上未能開出紅盤，低開60餘點後跌幅不斷擴大，下午開市跌穿23000點水平，輾轉向下，全日最低為22569.53，成交減縮。
